What Happens to Fingerprint Images?
A practical summary of capture, review, deletion and retained report information in the MyFire process.
Capture
The MyFire process uses 30 fingerprint images: 10 fingers, with 3 images per finger. Capture usually takes 15-20 minutes, and no scanner or ink is required.
Use
Fingerprint images are collected for MyFire report preparation and review. They are not collected for login, authentication or identity verification.
Deletion
Original fingerprint images are automatically and permanently deleted after the completed report has been generated and successful delivery has been confirmed.
Basic customer details, delivery records, support records and the final PDF report may be retained. The final report is retained for at least one year. Customers may request deletion or data assistance by contacting MyFire.
